Question:
Why do use marriage and the act of procreation
in describing what happens in this station?
God’s reason:
You have no impure thought. You have no malice.
Marriage and the creation of life are sacred to God. To God, marriage
between male/female is a soul-mate relationship. They have an eternal bond
and serve as family unit in Heaven. They are asexual. The creation of a child
is through divine conception- a holy act of God who is the father of all. Mankind
desecrated these from the time of Adam and Eve when they chose to beget
children on their own via sexual reproduction. As time went by, this act became
a source of malice, impurity, a recreation and a cause for sin (i.e. rape, incest,
pedophilia, lust, pornography). Sex and gender plays an important factor in our
relationship with each other, our values and in shaping our identity. We
associate “sex” with so many things. This is why even in the Chapter: Life in
Heaven, God uses sexual symbols and terms that we attach to gender to make
His point apparent. So, by using marriage and words that have sexual
undertones, God brings sacredness back to marriage and life-creation.
